On Tuesday, August 17, 2021 from 9am – 12pm at the Bay City Civic Center, certified child passenger safety technicians will help parents with correct child safety seat selection and installation.
The drive through event, which is a collaborative effort between Texas Department of State Health Services Safe Riders program, MEHOP and Texas Department of Transportation Save a Life program, will provide parents with hands on instruction to properly install their child’s safety seat. Parents will need to have their child with them so that certified technicians can also weigh and measure the child to determine if the car seat is the proper fit.
MEHOP has been a partner of Texas Safe Rider program for 5 years and has assisted families with proper installation and provided over 375 child safety seats.
The Bay City Civic Center is located at 201 7th St. in Bay City. If you are unable to attend the event or interested in additional information about the Safe Riders Child Safety Seat Program contact Letty at 979-245-2008 ext. 508.
