In response to a nationwide shortage of blood and platelets, MD Anderson’s Blood Bank is putting out an urgent call for donations.

Our next blood drive supporting MD Anderson Blood Bank will be Wednesday, August 4th from 12:30pm – 6:30pm.
Donations have not reached pre-pandemic levels, therefore blood and platelet donations continue to be greatly needed.
All donations go directly to support MD Anderson Cancer Center. MD Anderson is in need of all blood types.
The MD Anderson donor coach will be located at MEHOP’s Women and Children’s Center, 111 Ave. F in Bay City.

COVID-19 vaccines will not interfere with your blood donation, as long as you are feeling healthy and well on the day of donation.
MD Anderson is offering COVID-19 antibody testing as part of the blood donation process. The test is not an indicator of immunity against the virus and it is not a test for active COVID-19 infection
