Thank you to each person who donated blood during our MD Anderson blood drive on June 11! We received amazing support from the community. As many are aware, blood is currently in short supply and MD Anderson was grateful for the life giving donations.
Due to the current precautionary requirements of COVID-19 all donors were required to register in advance and spaces were limited to allow for social distancing. All 31 spots were filled for blood donations and 8 for platelets.
For each single blood donation, your blood is separated and can help save the life of 3 people! So with 31 donations, that is 93 people, children or adults, that we are able to help survive cancer or the cancer treatment itself!
